Had a great two nights' stay in Philadelphia. The hotel, Sonder the Arco, was situated right in the middle of the gayborhood and has completely contactless check-in and entry, which was perfect for just coming in exhausted and not needing to deal with anyone. The rooms even come with a power strip and HDMI cable. Highly recommended.

Being back here and breathing the Philadelphia air was pretty interesting, since I've lived here more than ten years but have only been away for a few months. We had Pat's cheesesteak for dinner and Sky Cafe indonesian food for lunch, did bowling at Round One, and had a blast at the U Bar and Woody's near the hotel. It's such a nice feeling to run around having adventures, and then come back to a safe place and completely collapse and let your body heal.

Now we're chilling at a cafe killing time until our flight. We're both looking forward to being in our cozy little flat again, though Kailey has a lot of college work to do. One of my priorities is to get a printer and laminator, and start making weekly schedules and hanging up stuff to increase the kiddy vibe. I also want to get a bicycle and start exploring the Clydebank area more, just getting out and finding cool spots.

@grifkitty This is probably the dumbest thing I could focus on from that entire post, but they gave you an HDMI cable??? That's awesome. That's always such a pain if you forget one and the hotel uses a SmartTV instead of a set-top box. It drives me crazy. @-@ 10/10 hotel, heck.

@kepler I've literally stayed somewhere with a TV with an HDMI port, but there was only a power button on the TV itself, and no input source button on the remote, and it didn't respond to any universal remote apps on my phone. They'd gone out of their way to make it accessible only through their service.

But a place in the gayborhood? They fucking know you probably want to hook up your Switch for a game of Jackbox.

@grifkitty One time when I was a little *ahem* half in the bag, I actually called down to the front desk and had them explain the button combo on the remote to change the input, because apparently that's a thing on some models.

Also it's a gayborhood, Jackbox is likely but they know for certain that people are using their Switches to Smash >:D
