I'm so beyond done with Telegram.  An instant messenger should at least be end-to-end encrypted, yet Telegram treats it as an optional feature with a protocol that hasn't been vetted by anyone but themselves. Meanwhile the app is getting to Discord-levels of nonstop advertising that nags you to buy their subscription service. I get that nothing comes for free, but if I don't trust your security and the only features you're selling me are features I don't want that you shove down my throat anyway, then I'm not gonna buy the service.

Anyway I'm gonna look into spinning up a CubHub Matrix server.  I'm tired of untrustworthy corporations and nonstop advertising.
