I just voted - for the ninth time - for Congressman Hakeem Jeffries to be the next Speaker of the House.
@RepAdams sensible thing to do would be for a bunch Republicans who have not gone completely nuts yet to join the Democrats and vote for Jeffries.
@RepAdams I wish you could use one of your hats to wave a handful of Republicans over to Jeffries and put this national nightmare to bed once and for all.
@RepAdams Never trust a McCarthy. Kevin is following in the footsteps of Joe.
@RepAdams
Thank you for hanging in there for us!!! ❤️

@RepAdams

Hang in there Congresswoman Adams. Don't let those weasels get you down.

#speaker

@RepAdams someone should suggest to mccarthy that he should gather his 200 people and walk out on the next round, leave the chaos caucus and you guys 212 definitely beats 20
@RepAdams
Thank you! I think he now has about 1,908 votes🗽

@RepAdams

I don’t suppose there is a way to get a more “moderate” GOPer ( I know there are no real moderates left there but maybe not a crazy Nazi, at least) for y’all to work with and get them in the speakers chair?

@RepAdams am guessing there aren’t six Republicans who would vote for Jeffries to end this?
Although, I would encourage someone in the #democrats to ask why Republicans aren’t voting for the man who has won the majority ten times.
I would find someone who can make an impassioned speech on this.
@RepAdams Would Democrat representatives consider nominating a moderate Republican, to at least have a better chance at being involved with the final outcome? No Republican is going to vote for a Democrat nominee.
@RepAdams question - what would it take for him to be speaker? How many votes?
