Hey mastodon š, I might have just the right peer group to ask here:
Iām planning to make my MacbookPro (2013) a #ubuntu machine. One thing that I would be missing is some #nativeInstruments software like Maschine and guitarRig. Would it be a viable option to run something like this inside of #wine? (needs low latency and audio drivers)

Can recommend #ffmpeg for audio batch conversion, great scriptability!
Also good for video trimming and conversion, but if you prefer a GUI for that, #kdenlive is nice.
Def check out #lmms , #ardour , or #sunvox for DAWs if you haven't heard of them yet.
If you struck through #audacity because of their phoning home scandal, it works fine running as #flatpack without net access via #flatseal .
