Decided to make a sweater with recycled polyester yarn! Colors are muted but I like them …. Work in progress ….

@westhill have you ordered from darn good yarn? They have lots of recycled indian fibers . This is just Respun yarn which is easy to find in stores .

@joanj2 Thanks, I haven't heard of them! I recycle my own yarn by buying sweaters at thrifts (usually white or cream ones), unraveling them, and dyeing the yarn whatever colors I want. I had no idea there was commercially respun yarn and will check it out!

@westhill that is excellent ! What a great idea and truly gives life to old knitwear ….. also yarn.com which is store based in Northampton MA sells recycled fiber yarns

@westhill and their store is great ! What a big warehouse of yarn 😊. I just searched under keyword recycled and they have some yarns available w recycled content right now . Sometimes you can find really good quality yarn on Zulily too
