After much trial and error, I've finally got the Mindly.Social infrastructure down to something simple.

Complex doesn't mean better.

Everything scales easily thanks to templates created from each of the server, I can also do maintenance without any outage now.

With backups and everything the monthly cost is about $87.22/month.

@KuJoe do you have a method for taking donations from your user base to offset your out-of-pocket costs for Mindly.Social?

@KuJoe This is actually brilliant. :) Thanks for sharing it!!

Side note, that is very surprisingly affordable for a site with that many users.

@KuJoe
Damn, that's actually affordable!
Ngl, for a passion project of this scale i would totally put 100-150$ a month in my bills.

Taking a moment, i want to thank you for your good work. It is inspiring to be a part of this community.

Also, thanks for TABS key! Game already saved a couple of my tired evenings :)

@KuJoe Nice! I'll save this for future reference.
@KuJoe wow that's a really low cost per user! Great job.

@KuJoe This sounds very cool!

As a newbie admin, I'm having to go with a fully hosted solution for up to 1,000 active users. And the monthly cost is about the same as what you're paying to support 33,000 users.

If ever you write an idiot's guide on how to re-create this setup, I'd gladly pay for it!

@KuJoe, by any chance have you published your config be it docker-compose, ansible, terraform, or whatnot? Thanks!
@davidvasandani I don't use any of those, but I really should look into them to make management easier.
@KuJoe, I recommend it! What templates are you referring to, and how are you managing zero downtime maintenance?
