This is a good reminder to make a resolution: take a CPR class and get certified. The Red Cross and AHA offer classes. It will take a few hours but it could result in giving someone the rest of their life.

I used to be an EMT and a RC CPR instructor. I assure you, it is not overly difficult to learn but a valuable skill.

@spaf And while you're at it, take a Stop the Bleed https://www.stopthebleed.org/ class as well

Let's all learn how to take care of one another a little bit better this year

ACS Stop the Bleed

ACS Stop the Bleed offers the premier bleeding control course and kits. We are the largest global provider of bleeding control training and empower anyone to save a life by learning 3 basic actions to control severe bleeding in an injured person.

ACS Stop the Bleed
@spaf especially when sudden cardiac arrest has been so common after March 2021.

@spaf Take a class even if you don't get certified. In King County WA (and many other places) the fire department will lead CPR classes, but you don't get a certification (like you would need if you wanted to be, say, a lifeguard or a sailing instructor).

Certification is nice, but getting the knowledge is the most important thing.

@spaf And I should have added, those Fire Department classes are free, while the certified classes can cost $75. If you need a cert, see if your employer will pay for it.
