I find inspiration for stories in odd places. Several have grown out of minor news stories: a stolen mail truck, a guy who impersonated a highway patrolman, a woman who got a letter from her bank saying that she was dead - and then couldn't get past the voice mail menu to tell them otherwise.

@LauraRuthless I know someone who was declared dead and had to jump throughbeaurocratic hoops to prove otherwise. It was awful and also a bit hysterically funny.
