Man, I like playing on the Switch, but whether you use the joycons linked to the display, in freehand mode or on the fake controller frame, they’re so underwhelming! Nasty small buttons, super small sticks, pathetic shoulder buttons and triggers, and a button placement that makes my hand die after 30 minutes.

So, best controller of all time?

@thelinuxEXP It's hard to say. I like the Xbox One controller layout the most, but there's no gyroscope-- which is mind bogglingly stupid, as gyro aiming for finer aiming is a MUST. The Switch Pro controller is decent, but there's no analog triggers. The DualSense has both, but I don't like the layout as much with the joysticks being symmetrically placed.

I'm really hoping for a new Steam Controller modelled off the Steam Deck controller layout

@kepler I never needed a gyro, so Xbox is undeniably my favorite!

@thelinuxEXP If you're playing shooters, gyro is invaluable. You can do bigger, imprecise motions with the stick, then finer adjustments with the gyroscope. A lot of people say to use mouse and keyboard, which I do most times, but then you're giving up analog movements with a joystick for digital movement with WASD. It just blows my mind that Microsoft won't bring their controller up to feature parity with everyone else.

Anyway that's my dumb input rant.

@kepler I never managed to use Gyro, but to be fair, I only tried it for 20 minutes and felt like a 3 year old, being incapable to line a shot!
@thelinuxEXP Try practicing with it in Breath of the Wild, the bow slowdown segments make for some great training wheels.
