As many of you know, I rode 100 centuries this year, the greatest (as in it was awesome) and most ambitious cycling goal I've ever done. Here are words about it. Leave a comment on the site and share it with friends

Centuries are for the Birds - No Direction Known

What does it take to ride 100x100 milers in one year? Do you have to be a cuckoo to do it? Read about my 2022 cycling goal: 100 centuries

Let’s do some stats, shall we?
I rode my 100 centuries in 316 days. #DaysToSpare
It took me 137 rides to complete the 100x100s, which means I did 37 “Junk Mile” rides.
May was my biggest month with 15 centuries.
I rode four different bikes to achieve this goal. (I’m not a Richie Rich! Owning this many bikes is a bi-product of working for a bike company for almost nine years.)
I don’t know how many cliff bars I ate (in truth, prefer Nature’s Bakery fig bars), but I can tell you the Mint Chocolate Cliff Bar is amazing cold, and the Banana Chocolate one kicks all kinds of ass. All other Clif bars taste (and sweat) like trash when hot IMHO.
Fun fact: Over a 365 day period (November birthday to November birthday) I rode 112 centuries.
And finally, I rode 98 of the 100 centuries solo. 🫡
(Which either means I love myself, or I hate myself. 🤔 It’s been my experience that both those things can be true on a ride.)
That’s clif bar. Thanks autocorrect.
Actually, 15 was in July. I only did 14 in May.
