This was a fun little exercise with #UE5 geometry scripting. Trying to generate buildings from a linear spline. Was a bit trickier than I first anticipated getting the math right for the corners, etc.

The cool thing with having them as splines is that it is easy to make a grid, randomly "walk" the grid and then just "connect the dots". And you can also then add some noise to the grid and get some more "organic" looking results. And generate a little city/block.
@oosmoxiecode this is amazing! So the entire building is generated from a sort of β€œskeleton” spline?
@rms80 Yes, exactly! That's a good way to describe it.
Amazing work on this library! πŸ™Œ So much fun to play around with. πŸ˜„

@oosmoxiecode I really really love this so much! Quick question, was this all done through geometry scripting or was there any houdini help?

Was there any resources you used to help get you started? Geo scripting has me so so excited to jump in to!

Great work!

@JasonLavoie3D Hi, thanks! Yes, it's all done with geometry scripting.

These tutorials was a good starting point for me: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnogvUVeY_MiSIgHp1b4TWgkZYJtl_37a
