My #gig #AdventCalendar for 2022 concluded with #JaneWeaver

But whilst we're all still in the Christmas spirit I'm looking forward to the ghosts of future gigs. My first gig booked next year is #WeyesBlood which I'm really looking forward to.

I wish I'd had a smartphone back in the 80s, 90s & noughties. I didn't have a camera back then. My god I'd love to have mementos of Rory Gallagher, The La's, Springsteen, Robert Cray, McCartney, Robert Plant & Jimmy Page, Prince etc.

But I'll make this a thread of some more recent-ish gigs I loved.

It'll be pretty random..whatever pops up on my phone reminder no doubt.

I'll start of with #JarvisCocker who joined #ArcadeFire at #WembleyArena back in 2018

Here's a favourite of mine. An absolutely spellbinding #gig by #MGMT 2018

Bizarrely making their festival entrance on the mainstage AFTER headliners Pearl Jam had finished their traditionally long set. It could have been a damp squib. But they played hit after hit, fun & full of energy it was a wonderful performance, with a mesmerising video wall & light show that went on until after 3am. We left euphoric

What #Gigs did Mastodon users go to? Reply in this thread & I'll give a boost. Photos of your gigs would be great

@alskicav This is #JapaneseBreakfast playing the #AlbertHall, #Manchester in October this year.

For me, the #album #Jubilee was the best of 2021. They were really great live - #PosingInBondage was, imo, the highlight. #Indiepop with proper weight and substance.

@AndyT great album. I like Japanese Breakfast. Not seen them live yet.
