AnnaFolks out there who have found your people: how did you do that?
I wasn’t lucky enough to be born into a good family and I thought I’d have found my people by now.

allyannIt started for me when I started valuing friends and family who gave their love unconditionally. While I am still friends with family and friends who don't, I don't invest as much of myself in them and I dropped my expectations of them.
@allyann That worked great until they died. Side effect of the chronic illness community. Family have never been reliable and actually work hard to make life more difficult. One is diagnosed narcissist. Hence the trying desperately to remove myself. They suck you dry so I have to get away. Nobody seems to give unconditional love. It’s just lot of hot air.
@halcionandon I get that. I have better friends than family for that reason.
