After 3 days of no no food, constant vomiting & inability to keep down even water, my other half went to hospital today. We tried #NHS111 yesterday, Xmas day, but got no answer. Tried again this morning, still no answer after an hour queue. Called 999 & they assessed an ambulance was required but with a wait of more than 7 hours. Advise was to get a taxi to A&E but the nearest is 16 miles away. So £62 taxi ride later she waits an hour in A&E for triage then 4 hours for a doctor.

Although severe dehydration was diagnosed at triage there is an elapsed time of 7 hours before IV fluids are administered...on a chair in the waiting room because there are no beds. Only received IV after our insistence (they were waiting for a bed first). And the bloods tests now show she has an AKI (acute kidney injury) due to the dehydration. 11 hours later she's still in the waiting room without a bed.

No, she doesn't drink & didn't overindulge

@alskicav that sounds bad. Wishing the best to both of you.
