Trying again, hopefully with working video this time.

A short clip of the large yellow tailed black cockatoo that was outside my bedroom window today. One of my favourite birds, and not a newcomer to the area, unlike the destructive white sulphur crested cockatoos. Their favourite food is banksia serrata cones, which is the tree it's sitting in. You can see a cone to the right of frame.

Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo - BirdLife Australia

The Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo is a large cockatoo. It is easily identified by its mostly black plumage, with most body feathers edged with yellow, not visible at a distance.

@thefathippy I used to get woken up by a couple of these every morning for a while, when I was at uni. They’re beautiful (even at seven o’clock in the morning).

@thefathippy I’m laughing at this because my aunt used to own a white sulphur crested cockatoo and you are absolutely right lol. Those birds are too damn smart for their own good. Extremely entertaining, however.
