A reminder because I feel like many have forgotten about this.

Nancy New—who Brett Favre texted to confirm media wouldn’t find out he’s getting $5M in Mississippi welfare funds—has pled guilty to welfare fraud. She's likely going to prison.

John Davis—the former MS welfare director—has pled guilty to welfare fraud. He's likely going to prison.

So here's my question: Why isn’t Brett Favre—who was the beneficiary of that MS welfare fraud—arrested yet?

DOJ: Charge Favre & demand accountability.

@QasimRashid great question. American Royalty.
@QasimRashid
Very good question! I wondered what was going on with that case. Favre better be next on the list to be charged!
@QasimRashid Are you like me and you are beginning to think America has two sets of rules of law?
@QasimRashid seems like a reasonable ask. Favre deserves some penalties.
@QasimRashid Farve needs to go to prison like everyone else involved in this case but unfortunately there’s a justice system for the rich and famous and another for us regular people.
Why Brett Favre Won't Face Criminal Charges Over $6M Welfare Scandal

The former pro is caught in a multimillion-dollar welfare scandal in Mississippi. An expert told Newsweek that media leaks may mean Favre escapes prosecution.

@QasimRashid NFL quarterbacks are worshipped as demigods in the US. Maybe you need a special arrest warrant for a deity.

@QasimRashid

Because those first two can’t throw a ball more than 5 yards.

Silly.

@QasimRashid that is a damn good question.
@QasimRashid "...And for the oligarchy, for which we eat cat food, with liberty and justice in direct proportion to one's wealth and fame
@QasimRashid my man, the question answers itself
@QasimRashid @RedwoodGirl in America, if you throw a ball good, you’re too big to fail
@QasimRashid #Privilege enabled by centuries of systemic corruption must always be called out.
#ChagreFavre
@QasimRashid 👏👏👏👏👏 Spot On question!
@QasimRashid Brett Favre is a celebrity and law enforcement is probably scared to do anything with him until they have an iron-clad case. Even when they do have 100% foolproof evidence, they'll tread lightly because the right will be screaming persecution.
@QasimRashid you must be new here 😁
@QasimRashid Seriously, this happened when I was in law school, and, daily, I walked right by where she hit. A super good lesson on the actual application of the law, almost as good as Income Tax: https://www.flickriver.com/photos/chicagocrimescenes/14181910767/

@QasimRashid good question. It's like his celebrity status is giving him a get out of jail free pass.
@QasimRashid Fame & wealth 🤷‍♂️ the American court system has little or nothing to do with justice
@QasimRashid white privilege combined with hillbilly super star status.
