@EleanorPe @irisRichardson though you might enjoy deep dish bluberry tart….no sugar just 48 ounces of Frozen Blueberries plus 8 oz of fresh ones cooked gently on low heat with a tablespoon of cinnamon then 6 tblspoons of whole wheat flour to stiffen the mix…pie shells cooked at 375F for 30 minutes after thawing.
Chill the pies - serve cold from ‘fridge

@pallsopp42 @irisRichardson Thank you, that looks delicious. As it happens, we're having some of our foraged blackberries with a slaw and honey-glazed sausages tonight. So it's basically one of our 5 a Day. 😋
@EleanorPe @irisRichardson It is really tasty. The lazy part is the frozen deep dish pie shells from the grocery store freezer….the great bit is that there’s zero added sugar and when the blueberries are cooked on a low heat, they tend to remain intact rather than turn to mush.
@EleanorPe @irisRichardson Wish we had access to wild blueberries…but they’re not native to the Phoenix metro area, Arizona. Our Border Collie, Jack loves blueberries and broccoli….he’s a funny lad
