Just one like, one acknowledgement, one friendly nod, one expression of appreciation can brighten someone’s day or lighten a dark mood. It’s more important than ever at this time of year when, for many, moods are particularly dark.

@charlesroper I'm glad to see someone else speak out for the Favourite button.

Boosting is terrific. It's a way to tell everyone who follows you that this post is worth reading.

Faves are different. It's like you're at an event, and afterward you go up to one of the speakers to say you really enjoyed what they said. It's private, but it's a handshake or a pat on the back to say "nice job." And it just takes a click.
