I like how media conglomerates are making it harder and harder to get content legally. Blu Ray drives are increasingly more locked down, and licensing fees are increasing so no OEM wants to pay for it. So either spend too much money on a Blu Ray disc that may or may not work with your current equipment to rip the media, or just torrent a web rip for free.  

It's weird to look at the music industry as a shining example of how to do media distribution correctly. You want a DRM-free lossless audio file? Okkie we sell them on Qobuz or Bandcamp. Have at it.

@kepler I got so fed up with that and every individual studio wanting to charge $10 a month to stream their stuff that I subscribed to a VPN and went back to the torrent sites. Cheaper and less frustrating just trying to watch something, not to mention keeping movies and shows I really like on a hard drive so they don't just disappear if they changed licenses on streaming sites.
@TwitchDaWoof I never stopped torrenting  The streaming wars just made getting stuff easier with how old shows now have modern web rips.
