@compostablespork they are best buddies! It took a few visits for my parents' cat to realize my cats are friendly and welcoming, but once he relaxed they're great together. Apparently he misses them when my parents take him back home.

(my dog and my mom's dog are special buds but that's not so weird for dogs)
@compostablespork proper introductions are crucial. Some cats can't feel secure enough to make cat friends, but for the most part, cats *are* very social, as long as they feel safe and secure. My parents cat spent a couple of weeks in my spare room, where he and my cats could sniff each other under the door but that's it.
