Canadians are so damn nice. Everyone here in #PortMoody keeps apologizing to us newbies for the “unusual” heavy snowfall. It’s pretty massive, and it is very unusual, but I’m loving every minute. Here’s a partial view from our living room.

I could post photos all day. Hope you like’em.

@GottaLaff

Beautiful view. Keep 'em coming 🙂

@Tazor Thank you! Will do.

@GottaLaff
When I was I stationed in Denver years ago, I too enjoyed watching the big snowflakes floating down, carpeting everything.

At 5 AM the next morning, helping my neighbor get his car started in 10 deg F weather early enough that we could both get to work on time -- took a toll on the previous day's enjoyment.

@stargazersmith As I said, I'm well aware of the downside, but I sure love the way it looks.
@GottaLaff what I’m reading from this is people admitting to operating a HAARP-like device with which they control the weather and being unable to escape their polite nature they feel compelled to apologize for the weather they have (willingly or not) caused there. 😄
@kunev Yeah. Sure. That's it. 😂

@GottaLaff

A delightful view to drink something warm while admiring.

More views will also be appreciated.

@GottaLaff

What a lovely and well composed photo.

@essjaykeys Wow, thank you so much!

@GottaLaff

The art of photography is in the 'seeing' of a great image.

Clearly you noticed the interplay of all the angles.
It works * really * well and draws one in, in an intriguing way.

@essjaykeys I lucked out with genes. My dad, who was a dr., was an award-winning amateur photographer, did all his own printing, everything. I grew up in a darkroom. He got his stuff into Nat. Geographic calendars, his work was unique and thoughtful. So he taught me a thing or 2 😉 But thank you so much for the very kind words.

@GottaLaff

Working in a darkroom with analogue photography is a great apprenticeship IMO.

That's why I switched to digital photography.
I just couldn't trust any processing shop to develop and print my photos the way * I wanted them to be *, without paying big bucks.

@essjaykeys I'll never forget watching my dad at the kitchen table using a tiny paintbrush dipped in vegetable dye to touch up the dust spots. He was meticulous. He finally switched to digital in his later years.

@GottaLaff

Yes, setting up a home darkroom for analogue photography is an expensive business.

@GottaLaff
It looks beautiful!
@MichelleRNCHPN It is GORGEOUS. I've never lived in snow before, so it's all novel, still. I understand the drawbacks, but at this point, I don't care.
@GottaLaff I’ve done all the winters I care to do. Today I had to put on socks for the first time in years.
@AuntyEm Having lived in California my whole life, this winter is something I'm loving. I understand the drawbacks, those are obvious, but this is new and amazing to us.
@GottaLaff Have much fun. I enjoyed snow when I was a kid. You’re just a kid at this.
@AuntyEm Right? But today it's raining, so the snow is starting to melt away. It's still everywhere, but some of the trees' branches are visible again.
