It's gonna be extremely cold in #Indianapolis tonight and a lotta folks are trapped out in it.

AFTER you've called the Mayor (317.327.4622) and asked him to initiate the "Extreme Temperature Plan" to open up more hours for shelters so that folks can get warm ... why don't you share with me a holiday selfie or tell me something fun you like to do when you are stuck inside?

I love to bake and cook up a damn storm of my own!

Context: Warning centers in #Indianapolis are only open during "regular business hours" and not when people, you know, actually need to get warm.

The Mayor's office actually has a plan for these situations but has yet to implement it for tonight's bitter cold. Call that number and ask him do it!

@thekitmalone IndyParks expanded the hours of a few Warming Centers yesterday as part of Joe Hogsett's briefing - one location in particular will run 24 hours / day from today until Sunday at 8:00 AM - Washington Park Family Center.
