@andykm @bhawthorne @caseynewton but sometimes the point of quoting is to immediately show the toot of another person with a comment from you. replying and boosting doesn’t quite provide that functionality within the feed

I also wish that @Mastodon would add at least ability to add “priority” people: those whose toots you definitely want to see first when you open the app. kinda like @overcastfm with the priority podcasts inside the playlist…

@IanVS i know but that’s not quite the same. your notifications feed should not become a second home feed… and it does not solve the issues that currently exist with the home feed and will become more obvious later: while people are figuring out who to follow/or who else to follow out of the recently joined, the main timeline becomes a bit unusable with an overwhelming amount of content that is not always relevant. which will lead to lower retention&return of users…
