Perhaps the most toxic aspect of modern work and the culture which exalts ‘#work ethic’ above all else, including the simple pleasure of simply not working, is the inhumane belief that those who don’t work, sometimes with caveats to the old and feeble, do not ‘deserve’ shelter, food, or other needs.

An idea this immoral can only be sustained societally and only enforced systematically and institutionally.
