A couple years ago I had told my girlfriend I needed to pick up a switch while we were out, and she was a little excited. Thought was strange but didn't think of it much.

The look on her face when I grabbed a network switch off the shelf was just so disappointed, and it was only in that moment I realized why she had been so excited for a network appliance.

I still like to display one in my console cabinet to tease her.
