Dear Superintendent Rafaeli,

FYSA: We have received a few complaints at our #PublicSchool about our #Winter #SpiritWeek. Some of the usual gentile parents are complaining (again) that it’s somehow “not #inclusive.”

We don’t see a problem.

Thanks,
Principal Sheetrit

@jewwhohasitall this is the antidote I need to the "best Christmas tree contest" emails I keep getting from HR at my government job. *facepalm*

@jewwhohasitall When will Yom Paddy's and Purim overlap again!?

*Asking for a friend*

@BraveInnovationist @jewwhohasitall

Get ready to party like it's 5801!

Unfortunately, March 17 of their calendar falls on a First Day, which I learned is the Christian Shabbat, so I guess their celebrations will be a bit muted that year…? #MedinatAmerica

Purim 2041 - Celebration of Jewish deliverance as told by Megilat Esther - פורים - Hebcal

Jewish holiday of Purim, begins at sundown on 16-Mar-2041 and ends at nightfall on 17-Mar-2041. Celebration of Jewish deliverance as told by Megilat Esther. It commemorates a time when the Jewish people living in Persia were saved from extermination.

@jewwhohasitall I don't get it. They should especially feel included on Wrong Holiday Fourth Day!!

@jewwhohasitall IDGI. I thought it must be about the hats, but you included a sock option for students who wear turban or hijab!

At our Village School we sometimes have an activity centred around 'Around The World With The Moon' in which children learn about the solar system in science and about how other countries celebrate the New Moon in humanities. It's important to pick a tradition EVERYONE enjoys - the New Moon is obvious, but something like lighting candles or blowing horns would work.

@PaganWhoHasItAll @jewwhohasitall Yes, absolutely. Everyone celebrates the new moon, that's pretty obvious and universal, isn't it? And the hat day, I assume you could wear a starry hijab for Ramadan, or similar. "Hat" could really be any headcovering!
