The latest Mammoth beta update is HUGE, and packed full of bug fixes and many 'nice-to-haves'.

As always, if you've been enjoying my work and would like to support me, you can donate via: paypal.me/aviaryapp

I really appreciate how well this has been received!

@JPEGuin you're doing amazing work. easily the best iOS client. also incredibly impressive how much you're accomplishing so quickly.

@JPEGuin

Mammoth keeps getting better and better with each update ☺️👍🏻

@JPEGuin Can you please do something about the loading issues? For a while now Mammoth isn't loading the latests post firsts but older posts and I have to refresh many times before I can finally see the latest posts.
@343max @JPEGuin you can click the nav button at the top and select “newest” go immediately load to the top
@343max @JPEGuin You can tap home, and tap newest
@kimiamania @JPEGuin Not sure I like it but thank you, might ease my pain a bit.
@JPEGuin Thank you for all the updates! Been using it for about a week and it's great.
@JPEGuin I can’t login on mastodon.social. It simply goes back to “Popular Communities” after authorising.
@JPEGuin that being said, after many tries I was able to login. It is looking very, very good! As a side note, it doesn’t allow me to log into my GoToSocial instance, which implements Mastodon’s APIs. For example, using Metatext, or Mastoot, just works.
@david Thanks for letting me know. I'll investigate
@JPEGuin nice work. The app is still not reliable on iPad as the layout does not seem to dynamically adapt to the window size
@JPEGuin Replying on the Mac crashes the app.
@JPEGuin Love it! Hiding columns is a nice feature, though once you do it the sidebar buttons now jump to the wrong columns. Probably needs some way to temporarily show a column if you click its sidebar icon.
@JPEGuin Wonderful. Thanks again for keeping the updates coming
@JPEGuin Just updated and briefly played around with it. So far, so great. Loving the updates!
@JPEGuin Mammoth is a great Mastodon client. I am loving all the features. Great job!
@JPEGuin Really love how smooth the app feels. I had been having trouble with timely timeline(?) loading which kept me from using it full time. I’ll keep an eye on that in the new beta. Keep it up! 🐘
@JPEGuin whoa! Noticeably performance improvement for me. I was getting a lot of blank screens and lags on the last build. But these seem to be resolved. Nice work!!

@JPEGuin The speed at which you're working on this app is incredible. 👏 I'm sure you're getting loads of feedback and suggestions, so do you have any *preferred* way for people to send them to you (messages, DMs, email, TestFlight...)?

(Maybe Settings > Get In Touch could help clarify that, too?)

@helloiamrob Anything works fine for me for now!

@JPEGuin Hey I’m experiencing it randomly reloading my timeline while I’m mid-scroll (in one case not touching it.) Makes you lose your place.

Loving the app otherwise though!

@JPEGuin hi! Are we still supposed to only see the emoji when getting notifications?
@JPEGuin Great app, incredible work! Can't find "Followed Tags" on iPad v1.0 (35) - am I missing something?
@ruboerner It's in the explore section
@JPEGuin Thanks for the quick response. Checked it several times. Nothing there.
@JPEGuin The complete list of my Followed Hashtags has finally appeared on my iPad after I unfollowed a certain hashtag and re-followed it.

@JPEGuin Great job!

Some feature requests:
– Being able to select text in a post when the post is expanded.
– Keyboard shortcuts (in particular up/down in the timeline to select posts and enter to expand).

@pvieito Both of these exist already (apart from navigational shortcuts)
@JPEGuin Awesome! I’ve been using Mammoth as my main client for about a week and it’s working great except for the occasional jump while scrolling. I temporarily turned off the auto-refresh feed option to prevent that from happening. Otherwise it seems to be going really well. 🥰
Prefer Mammoth but Toot! has best notification sound
@JPEGuin will sharing be coming soon? That’s like the biggest missing feature for me. Love the app!
@JPEGuin Great App! Adding a url scheme for searching or a shortcut action for searching would be awesome.
@JPEGuin I think I’ve found a bug: clicking on some @usernames in toots in timeline or detail doesn’t successfully load the linked profile
@JPEGuin I’m so impressed with all these features and constant updates, thanks! Something ongoing that I’ve noticed is that feed location isn’t retained when switching accounts. Ie when I open the app to the home feed, it retains my previous position, but when I switch to a different account, it starts from the most recent posts and the same on the original account when I switch back. I’ve cleared the cache and that didn’t solve it. Any way to adjust that? Thanks again!
@JPEGuin I have a reproducible crash (on iOS 16.2) on this version when trying to pull up a user profile from search: Explore tab, Magnifying glass, search for a user, tap a user. Pretty much any user I tap on after searching will crash. Submitted a report 🙂
@JPEGuin lots of great features tucked away all over the app. Loving it so far!! FYI - the activities header doesn’t change when you choose one of the filters from the drop down.
@JPEGuin Thanks for this. Still having troubles with pull to refresh. Sometimes it works but doesn't load everything and sometimes it doesn't work at all, as shown here. But thanks to @kimiamania and @mikaelacaron I learned the 'tap on newest" trick 🙂
@JPEGuin Thanks for all the hard work ! Would be great if it’s possible to focus on the iPad bugs at some point - I can’t actually use the app as images won’t upload, alt text isn’t saved, account timelines don’t switch, settings aren’t remembered. I’m trying to report the bugs via Test Flight so hopefully that helps 😊
@JPEGuin Mammoth is awesome!
@JPEGuin can you add edit post? (It works!)
@omar Already in there. Go to your post's detail, and tap the top-right icon for the option
@JPEGuin wow awesome 👏
@JPEGuin found a bug. Write a draft message, go do something else and return to Mammoth and the message is gone.
