CBS News has obtained unreleased audio of the House January 6 select committee's questioning of Ret. Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, in which Rep. Liz Cheney presses him on whether he used his connections to contact high-ranking defense officials ahead of the Capitol riot. Robert Costa reports from Washington.
Theyâre going to refer Jeffrey Clark, who was raided by the FBI and left outside in his boxer shorts. Also John Eastman.
Thatâs fine, but again, these guys were following Flynnâs plan with his operative Christina #Bobbski.

Itâs nice that the January 6th Committee acknowledges that âleft-wing groups were instructing members to stay homeâ on January 5th.
But that might have something to do with the movement my friends and I started a week before that to make sure no one went. It was in public. You didnât need âintelligence,â you needed Twitter.

Denver Riggleman is dropping knowledge as usual. He was bounced from the J6 Committee because he understands #OSINT and wanted to expand the focus beyond Flabby Hitler.
He understands the network. He understands radicalization.
Trump going away is going to do ZERO to reduce the fundamental problem, which is that Flynn and his allies are engaging in psychological warfare using our own social networks and citizens.
#ArrestMikeFlynn
I canât even believe this. đŚ
The level of ignorance or intentional deception here is jaw-dropping. The entire civilian leadership of the Pentagon was decapitated and replaced with Mike Flynn operatives AFTER the election. Miller, Cohen, Patel and Tata were there to make sure Trump stayed president.
Not only that, Mike Flynnâs brother Charles literally prevented the NG from going to the Capitol for THREE HOURS. JFC.

My partner @Gal_suburban and I described in detail how it worked at the Pentagon over six months ago. Itâs not a mystery.
The reason the Secretary of Defense had âthe authority to deploy the National Guardâ was not because it was âdelegated.â Miller sent this memo seizing that power and defanging the NG two days before 1/6.
It was a fucking coup that was assisted by the Pentagon.
The J6 Committee is a cover up.

Numerous articles are listed on the substack.
It's fine to ask for sources...when there isn't a clear link to a larger form writing in the post to which you replied...with the articles listed.
@indubitablydubin @jimstewartson @johnettesnuggs @Gal_suburban
Then you are trolling.

I won't go on, but I will block you for being disingenuous
@jimstewartson @johnettesnuggs @Gal_suburban @pixelpusher220
For the record, the memo is legit, and AFAICT most references trace back to https://twitter.com/lukebroadwater/status/1354836817925832705 for provenance.
And Jim, you're doing the right thing by providing your sources, but the combination of how this thread and the related Substack articles are formatted makes it non-trivial for me to verify them, especially on a mobile device. Whether that's information you want to act on is entirely your call.
âHereâs the Jan. 4 memo from former acting Defense Secretary requiring âpersonal authorizationâ for DC National Guard to employ riot control agents & other tactics at Jan. 6 âMarch for Trump.â This same day Capitol police knew of a âstrong potentialâ for violence against Congress.â
@theruss @jimstewartson @johnettesnuggs @Gal_suburban
Boiling it down to formatting and that you're using a less than ideal device for the task. Not really sure that's a winning argument đ
@pixelpusher220 @jimstewartson @johnettesnuggs @Gal_suburban
If it came across as an argument, I apologize; that wasn't what I was going for.
@pixelpusher220 @jimstewartson @johnettesnuggs @Gal_suburban
If I were to *make* some arguments, though, they'd go something like this:
1) This is me: https://mstdn.social/@theruss/109373419496754729
Check the boost count.
If I was trying to prop up Qanon or any other flavor of Christofascist poison, I'd be doing a really bad job of it.
I have a request. Bad actors will soon figure out - if they haven't already - that setting up impersonations of important organizations now will allow them to set off an explosion of chaos and confusion at a time of their choosing. So if you run an account for an organization (especially #LGBTQ), please set up link verification between your Mastodon account profile and your organization's website. If not, please boost. Instructions are here under "Link Verification": https://docs.joinmastodon.org/user/profile/
@pixelpusher220 @jimstewartson @johnettesnuggs @Gal_suburban
2) When I looked Jim up and saw "I Love Bees" on his resume, I whispered "oh shit, right" out loud.
Here's the thing, though. If you plot the Venn diagram of Mastodon users* who:
a) want the Flynn brothers to pay for what they've done, and
b) don't know/remember what I Love Bees is or how it's connected to Jan. 6th...
... You're gonna get two big circles with a *lot* of overlap.
* English-speaking, on federated servers
@pixelpusher220 @jimstewartson @johnettesnuggs @Gal_suburban
2b) There are redcaps, fascists and *chan-flavor trolls here, for sure, but the ratios are *very* different here than on Twitter.
@theruss @pixelpusher220 @Gal_suburban @johnettesnuggs Hey Russ. Thanks for the explanation. All good. Iâve run into some groypers but mostly I find them adorable compared to the tankies whose arguments are more annoying.
Did you play Bees? That project is why Iâm stuck chasing Mike Flynn around who made an enormous malevolent ARG out of QAnon.
@jimstewartson @pixelpusher220 @Gal_suburban @johnettesnuggs
I never played Bees myself (didn't even have my own copy of a Halo game until several years later) but I recognized the name and the lightbulb went on - the Emmy, the documentary, the "they're using my ideas" thing... yup, that all scans.
I don't envy you one bit, I'll say that. The Alfred Nobel comparison that comes to mind is maybe a bit much, but it's not far off.
