I got the impression that he used the alleged stalker as an excuse to implement broad new policies. And those policies just so happened to ban the ElonJet account which he famously disliked.

As someone that has worked with people with mental health challenges, it sounds like Elon used someone's daily struggles as an excuse to exact revenge on those he didn't like, which is even worse than just the initial story.

It seems like a lot of them didn't even tweet a link to elonjet, and Linette Lopez is still banned. Someone should document exactly what they tweeted that supposedly violated rules before being banned.

I imagine if you have to have security, and people hate you that much, it feels scary that someone surfaces your location info in real time. So far, no damage done, but that's luck isn't it...so the fact that this time the stalker didn't use elonjet isn't really relevant. I don't like the guy, but either he's safe or none of us are.

BigBadBoxBookElon knew all that, as well as knowing that his false linkage of @elonjet to the incident would endanger the guy's life. Musk is a fully dehumanized, merry jester at play. Democracy, businesses, stock value, livelihoods and lives hang in the balance as we work around his id and avatar, just trying to live our lives in spite of him.
