i thought denver was the worst place i had ever been for this, but i was wrong, portland is way worse, leave your dogs at home! it’s warm and dry and they have food and water! they don’t need to go EVERYWHERE with you
@golikehellmachine Seattle is real bad too. A couple weeks ago I went on a coffee date and the girl brought her tiny dog with her, to the clear irritation of everyone sitting near us
@jinglish@golikehellmachine I teach improv at a community college in Austin and last semester someone brought her tiny dog to class. I was not happy about this.
@golikehellmachine And they’re always anxious and neurotic (dog and owner) — my refrain when hearing whining and yelping in public is “here’s another fucked up dog to add to my fucked up dog collection.”
@golikehellmachine Agree. I love dogs, but they do not belong in every social situation and their foolish owners often do not consider the comfort level of their dog or the humans who might not be fans.
