Oh, only -2F / -19C this week in Chicago. That’s a downright wimpy polar vortex. When I was young I had to walk uphill both ways to the liquor store in -20F.

@wendynather @hacks4pancakes I used to bike to work in Chicago year round. I rode extra fast during the winter, because stopping meant death.
