BenedicteCallan@annassemble Rare to get antivirals for flu in the US. Rare to even get tested for flu… But it is true Paxlovid is available for COVID though its use not standard yet.
@BeneCal ah when I had the flu (tested) in the US I got tamiflu - never had it here.
@annassemble It might be age & era related. My kids never get tested, never get any meds. Last time I had the flu, 10 years ago, I saw 2 docs was told "you have the flu, go home."
@BeneCal totally. I just read something from the US antivirals were recommended as regular course of action, and got antivirals myself when I had the flu in the US and in Germany they are not even mentioned
