I imagine MoveToDon will get booted by Twitter soon. So I would highly recommend using it if you haven’t or running it again to see who has set up and accounts from your follow list.
@KFile How does that work?

Jokes and snark aside. With #Twitter banning links to any other social network now, the window for using tools like https://fedifinder.glitch.me and https://www.movetodon.org is closing rapidly. Better run them again in the coming days to find any stragglers. #twittermigration #twitterexodus

@adotsad @KFile You go here: http://movetodon.org and sign in to Twitter and Mastodon. It finds your friends on Twitter that are also on Mastodon and you can follow some or all of them. (Did I get that right?)
Movetodon: Finds your Twitter Friends on Mastodon

@KFile And reblog generously! That’s how I am finding a lot of my Twitter crew.
@KFile I was shocked at how easy it was to use MoveToDon.
@KFile I believe that they've been banned already. That said, someone put forward a rather good idea that for verification they should change to making people post a random selection of words instead of their masto account. There's no way that Twitter could police that, although technically I guess there's not much stopping them (ToS?) from scanning all Twitter accounts that pop up in these services and banning them. The more of their energy wasted in fighting though, the faster they burn... 💕
@KFile the system is slow and takes time to do the link. Just wait for a bit after you login to Mastodon. I came back to the window to try again and saw that it finally listed the friends.
@KFile Are the people that remain employed at Twitter as bitter, weak, and vengeful as Elon Musk? Are they simply in survival mode or have they bought into this new direction?
@KFile I’ve been running it daily. It really is a great tool but only 60 out 900 people I follow are on here so far. But also no idea how/why I followed that many people to begin with.
@KFile I've had a lot of success dropping "mastodon filter:follows" into my Twitter search bar and sorting by latest. Some thing works for post.news.
@joekatz45 @KFile it's far more time consuming, but it does work for now. But it also relies on ppl being able to put their handles in a Twitter public space. All of these methods become less and less useful after today.
@Mutsy67 @KFile Yeah, it's a problem! I'm hoping most people just end up using their same handles.
@joekatz45 @KFile I definitely didn't (I needed to change my Twitter handle but never got around to it) but I think most will.
@KFile even if they don't boot, as ppl remove reference to Mastodon in their bio/url it becomes less and less relevant. Same with DeBirdify and FediFinder
@KFile I had no idea this was a thing. Thanks for posting!
@KFile I've run it a few times, and each time it's shown accounts I already follow here to be NOT followed. No matter how many times I hit "Follow." It's really frustrating!
@KFile I don’t post on Twitter anymore, welcome to Mastodon
