Okay, here we go. The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled they can hold their anti-referendum referendum on August 8. So we now have TWO massive votes to win in Ohio in five months: one to preserve the ballot initiative bar at 50+1 in August and one to restore abortion rights in November.

New gun violence stats released from Johns Hopkins this week.
An American died by gun every 11 minutes in 2021 - which works out to an Uvalde shooting every four hours.
Limited to homicides, we suffered three Parklands every single day.
From 2019-2021 gun homicides rose 45%. Non-gun homicides rose just 7%. Suicides by gun rose 10%, suicides by other means down 8%.
And as always, gun control laws were correlated with less gun death.

UPDATE: The woman who murdered Ajike Owens is *finally* in custody and a formal arrest "should occur imminently" per Stewart Moore at WESH in Orlando.
