Michael Gemar@atomicpoet My guess is he knew the likely outcome (or even is engineering it) to give him an out, perhaps because he has been told by his major investors, the Saudis, that he has to step down and get adult supervision.

This is certainly not the behavior of a CEO, delegating the leadership decisions! Interesting speculation about this re: likely conversations and ultimatums in Qatar. In the end, I don't think it matters. As the owner, he has influence, whether he's CEO or not. If Twitter survives, Musk wins.
