It's fascinating and disturbing watching people take the plain language of the new policy and twist it to mean "well, they're really only going after spammers..."

It is clearly not that. There are two separate sections, one specifically about content *on the tweet level* and another on suspension of accounts.

People are happily concluding the latter precludes the former and it's driving me mad.

@TechConnectify

So much for Phony Starks bluster about free speech.

Massively hypocritical and juvenile.

Also he's happy for inbound links to the Fowl Place from Facebook or Mastodon.

Which regulatory bodies will be investigating this and how quickly?

@simonzerafa @TechConnectify I don't think there are any regulations being broken by the double standard of accepting links in and banning for links out.

It is a terrible business move however, and it seems that the market is punishing it (along with the rest of Musk's moves concerning his management), as evidenced by the exodus of people to services like Mastodon.

I just find it interesting that he's so keen to call for regulations to stop the market from moving away.

@rusozoll @TechConnectify

The FTC and EU might think differently. We shall see 🙂🤷‍♂️
