The @WSJ even issued their own guide to getting started on #Mastodon! It's easy to see why Elon Musk feels threatened, with Twitter on fire and outlets like this suggesting an exit ramp: https://www.wsj.com/story/how-to-use-mastodon-the-social-media-platform-blocked-by-elon-musks-twitter-7751455f #JoinMastodon
How to Use Mastodon, the Social-Media Platform Blocked by Elon Musk’s Twitter

Mastodon could be the future of social media—if you can figure it out

Wall Street Journal
@anthony When you've lost The Wall Street Journal....
@anthony Quite frankly: All it takes for Mastodon to replace Twitter is simply a server which can host 250 million users under one domain. That's it. The thing that holds it down is the old school "nationalization" (different domains) with "national governments" (domain administrators) of Mastodon; it is not a true global community under one roof with global rules like the other successful social media sites provides (fb, yt, Insta, Twitter...).
@anthony is WSJ on Mastodon? Once we start to see companies coming across, it's lights out for Twitter.
@anthony there are also instructional videos on YouTube. Learning to use Mastodon is my holiday project.
