Ann JohnsonOk I guess I’ll be here more. The other site meltdown has left me a bit jaded. I left FB permanently over toxic behavior I witnessed from people I liked and respected. But so far so good here. Though I am struggling to find my community (and no I’m not running a script - I’m a strange one who just doesn’t click on links unless they are known to me). Anyway I’m here. And happy to see so many great folks also here.

Having lurked in many places I have yet to find one as varried voices as Twitter was. I fear we will all settle into microcosms that turn into echo chambers.
But it is also a time to reset and discover new voices perhaps.
Maybe the answer is not 1 social circle/service but multiples for various topics.
Gone will be the days when people shared info centrally on events happening in real time along side of conversations around topics that interested us.
A telling sign is that as Twitter crumbles, it is still the links to Twitter posts I see being shared most.... And not the other services yet.
Maybe the bird does rise from the ashes but it's not looking so good
@JefTek definitely will force all of us to make some changes - and maybe that isn’t so bad
