If Twitter enforces its ban on putting mastodon handles in bios, I guess that kills migration services like @debirdify. I wonder if it would be possible to build a service that works the other way: you put a link to your legacy Twitter account on your mastodon bio and the services scrapes that to rebuild your Twitter follow list here. #twitternoise
@paulmather007 The problem with that is that people could simply lie about it (e.g. claim that their Twitter account was someone famous) in order to get people to follow them.
One could do some sort of verification, of course, but every extra step like that makes it much less likely that people will do it. At that point you might as well use something like Twitodon.
