Canberra woman who slipped on grape in supermarket awarded over $27,000 compensation

The court that heard the woman's initial bid for compensation found the supermarket had not breached its duty of care, but the ACT Court of Appeal says Coles did not adequately prioritise detecting hazards.

@ki_sekiya she had claimed for other injuries, which ultimately were not considered to be proven to have been caused by the incident. She may have been offered a greater amount in settlement but chose to push on with the appeal instead. Also, no economic loss was claimed.
