A simulacrum is an image of a thing or person we have in our minds with which we can emulate the future in our minds if we have an unflawed simulacrum in our heads.

...appreciate and how she will react. I cant know this but because I know her (well, she is my wife, I should know her) I had a simulacrum of her in my head, luke a tiny virtual copy of her with which I can anticipate her doings and reactions if it is a good one.
As far as I know one can become in #Voodoo the horse of a loa, which means that for example #Legba possesses one and can act and speak through the person ridden.
I speculate a little bit, but I am wielding the idea

...and concept that through living culture and the permanent presence of myth people build up simulacra of the Loa in their heads which can, given the narratives of the living tradition in the voodoo culture, override the personality of the individual with the present alternative Lóa-personality which can now act within the actual world.
That means not that the Loa did not exist but that they exist in a very realistic way. This is not superstition but the presence and
