I had a little question about a topic which haunts me for some while about the #Loa in the #Vodun religion and the perception of #reality and the #simulacrum.

A simulacrum is an image of a thing or person we have in our minds with which we can emulate the future in our minds if we have an unflawed simulacrum in our heads.

@N3m0 Conversing recently about the pre-figuring of the Machine Question, I came across the word Nullnummer, realizing the zero-pilot is how I understood simulacrum in terms of Blanchot’s mysterious Neuter. It’s the reduction of something to zero, giving it the possibility of infinite dissimulation as a product of how and what dissimulates it. This also means it contains the seed of its own annihilation as it collapses back in on itself and its zero meaning independent of the dissimulating form.

Well. #Nullnummer means in german much wind about nothing.

@N3m0 Well, all is metaphysical and thus, Ex creatio nihilo. If you trace the meaning of the Machine back thru the Greek, you’ll find our world is founded on Philosophy, which is, in a sense the original Universal Machine.
