@dcjohnson That's why my default position is that if Russia is complaining about an atrocity, or warning of an external risk, they're adding chaff to disguise *their* atrocities. Risks to them are their threats to others.

I've witnessed Russian soldiers slicing the throats of captured prisoners of war in a ditch, because it was more convenient. Easier than keeping them alive.

It's not the image.
It's the sound.
The utter casualness and complete disregard for life.

@jmorris @dcjohnson the whole thing is so high school bully-esque that it’s not clear to me they think about it at all. It’s whatever comes to mind at the moment, exactly like Trump. Just say whatever pops into your head and it doesn’t matter whether it completely contradicts the thing you said five minutes ago. It’s remarkably brainless in its execution. It’s all about the trolling. Making sense doesn’t come into it.
