I wonder how many murders can be traced to Christmas music.
@Jake_Vig Jake!
@SirJeremyLondon JL!!! Welcome, you were sorely missed
@Jake_Vig glad to find this place for sure
@SirJeremyLondon I love it here, I just started following everyone

@Jake_Vig chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose

That line was definently written by a cannibalistic serial killer.

@Jake_Vig
Like, they were inspired by it, or the relentless nature of its airtime for two months drove them to murder?

I think Grandma got ran over by reindeer specifically so someone could write a Christmas murder song.

@JustCallMeFrank great questions- gotta go with both reasons being plausible
@JustCallMeFrank @Jake_Vig Grandma…. Has got to be the worst.
@Jake_Vig The real final verse of 'Baby It's Cold Outside' took a darker turn :)
@Jake_Vig 😂😂😂😂😂😂
1st rule of Xmas Murder Club is: don't talk about Xmas Murder Club.
🤣🤣🤣

@Jake_Vig

Remember that song, 'Baby it's cold outside?'

It could be interpreted as a nonconsensual sex song. I know a couple of people living in remote parts of Canada and the US who have some very negative associations with this.

@Jake_Vig I’d hazard a guess and say all of them
@Jake_Vig More specifically, Christmas music sung by Mariah Carey
@Jake_Vig I think those are classed as mercy killings
@Jake_Vig A fair amount of Christmas music does have good temp for getaway music.
@Jake_Vig a thousand due to “Wonderful Christmastime” alone
@Jake_Vig Tell me "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and I will tell you what you can do to yourself.
@Jake_Vig At least one—“Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer”.
@Jake_Vig maybe Little Drummer Boy?
@Jake_Vig Xmas music is a prime example of toxic positivity. It ends up pissing me off more than putting me in any kind of joyful mood.
@Jake_Vig I wonder how many murders can be traced to “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey.
