Ali Ball 🇬🇧 🇺🇦🏳️🌈♓@berlinbridge Morning. The Follow button should work ok, however due to the mass of people joining there are sometimes some glitches due to servers being overwhelmed. They are normally rectified fairly quickly.

@berlinbridge Why not to post here and push posts to Twitter instead ;) If you follow people in another server then you must go to their handle... You can't follow me https://est.social/@diana because then you are in wrong server where you don't have account but if you klick @diana then my profile opens in your server and you can follow. Little bit confusing at first but thanks to decentralisation here can't happen same as in Twitter that one moron ruins all ;)

Netson@berlinbridge @diana also, rember to use hashtags when posting here. Hashtags can be filtered and searched to stay on top of topics.

The big servers have a lot of lag and issues due to the inflow of twitter refugees (30K per day atm). I would suspect that's what you're seeing.
Also, since there's no algorithm to populate your Home feed or offer suggestions, it feels empty when you start out. Follow everyone who seems reasonable, then unfollow the unfortunate mistakes.
I've been here two weeks and my feed is starting to get acceptable.
