@ProPublica If any other News entity wants to get follows for their reporters and contributors, they should do the same. I'm here on Mastodon and not on Twitter because of the News organizations. I don't need the anti-Semites or racists or other accouterments of the Muskrat social.
@ProPublica This is great! Can you possibly have this added to the running list so we can "follow" en masse by uploading a csv?

Would be great if you verified your journalists. Nice thing is you can control the verifications — https://opensource.com/article/22/11/verified-mastodon-website

I would normally follow them all but after clicking on them I followed none.

They have not posted and their accounts are a month old.

Those are place holder accounts just in case the bird implodes.

@ProPublica

Thanks! Followed all of these folks

@ProPublica

This list would be more useful if we knew their beat.

What about “Friends of ProPublica”?

To import all at once, download http://stackoverflow-sehe.s3.amazonaws.com/ed28c299-a4c2-48a2-845f-fe7b1f912025/propublica_partial.csv and import it on your settings/import page, e.g. https://fosstodon.org/settings/import

To disable "show boosts", replace `,true` with `,false`

Have you considered setting up your own Mastodon instance? The only members would be your journalists who would then each have a ProPublica Mastodon address a bit like they have a ProPublica email address.

@dallas More organizations need to do this.

It also permits nice, clean, easy work/life separation. Have a personal Mastodon account, and your official work one, obviously official due to the domain in use and not requiring the technical knowledge to go digging for verified links… then vetting them.

@ProPublica

Every single one of those reporters should be at @[email protected]
