So what started as "This was wonderful, I'd love to see this in my own community, too bad I don't have time" has turned into starting a new organization and running outreach.

The wild amount of support we've been receiving has been astounding. It really feels like everyone has wanted/needed this but didn't know where to turn.

The local #climbing gym is partnering with us, multiple professional guides have reached out offering services. The American Alpine Club wants to help us get 501c(3)!

We've already been approached by members of the community about getting a booth at next year's #Pride.
Folks we haven't even had our first meeting yet and people want merch.
@tylerjohnson What's the organization?

@aloysiuscc Climb Out! The aim of the organization is to elevate Queer, Trans, and other self-identified LGBTQIA2S+ voices in the climbing and outdoor communities.

Right now we're focusing on organizing Queer Climb Nights each month at the local gym. We have plans to expand into service projects and hosting education/training workshops.

@tylerjohnson That's awesome!
@aloysiuscc Thanks! We're just getting started (i.e., first climb night isn't until next month) but the response has been overwhelming. Website is climboutpride.org
@aloysiuscc @tylerjohnson Oh wow, your are really doing this right! Congratulations 🎉
@aloysiuscc @Firebird Thank you! You really helped start some of the conversation and point us in a good direction. We had no idea everyone would be so receptive!
