Had an unusual #3dprinting fail yesterday, the bowden tube apparently unscrewed itself and it just sat there uncoiling filament and ghost printing for the second half of the print.
In more successful printing news this is a dragon egg for a friend who isn't on here. In the process of spray painting the baby dragon that goes inside.

And here's hand painted Drogon, still drying.

I'm not sure if those chest scales are drybrush or inkwash, but it came out brilliantly.

@PrecautionaryPrinciple

Thanks! Dry brush with acrylic paint 😁

@Amandatron89 That is great, I love the eyes.

I’ve been painting D&D figures the last couple of years. This one isn’t printed but store bought.

@jamespblloyd gorgeous! 🀩

I've got some metallic gold spray paint, for the eyes I just sprayed a bit of that onto my palette and painted it on with a brush, really pleased with the effect.

I should paint models more often, it is fun but I do it very rarely.

@Amandatron89 wow this is great!!
@_shannon_laura Omar's birthday present 🀫😁
@Amandatron89 I've had that happen once. It was annoying fixing that one.
@anniethebruce it seems to be fine now, just a lot of careful winding up of filament and then screwed the tube back on. I'm suspicious of it now though, keep checking it's on tight before each print πŸ˜
