1. #hashtags are key. Search and follow hashtags to find your interests. Also, capitalizing the first letter of each word in the hashtag helps for screen readers.

2. Boost! Favourites are nice but there's no algorithm. If you like it boost it.

3. AltText matters. Please add AltText to all images for visually impaired members.

4. Interact! Follow, #hashtags , boost, comment. It's what makes this work!

@mostaurelius Can't overstate to use hashtags. I have some pretty niche hobbies. My first followers came from searching and posting with the relevant hashtags and I'm even planning on playing an online game with one of them. Even if your hobbies aren't super popular, you can still find and help build that community.
