A mob of red deer stags in Richmond Park, they were on the edge of the woods and unless you stopped to look from most angles they were perfectly hidden, I crouched down to take the shot, that's when I could see how many there were (shot with a long lens it looks like I was a lot closer than I actually was). #RichmondPark #RedDeer #Stags #RedStags #WildLifePhotography #Nature #Photography #AltText
@Emma_Hughes Just wow. What a photo!
@JaneinNJ thank you!
@Emma_Hughes Really, it’s amazing. The fog, those insane antlers, the deers’ peacefulness…really great.
@Emma_Hughes A lovely photo and a reminder of my time living in the area. We used to live in Ham so very close!
@FrankGerryts we feel so lucky to have Richmond Park a short walk away!
@Emma_Hughes This is masterful. Thank you so much for telling us the story of how it came together.
@markkrueg my pleasure Mark, thank you for your comment
@Emma_Hughes that’s such a cool picture!!!
@Emma_Hughes that really is an incredible shot!

@Emma_Hughes the atmosphere in your beautiful photograph reminds me of a fairytale.

Bravo.

@prodygy @Emma_Hughes
You couldn't have said it any better. You've spoken like a True Artist one with a Good Eye 🖌🎨
Emphasis on the "Good Eye" 😊

@mlv69 @Emma_Hughes thank you, but I’m only an observer. The photographer’s eyes get all credit for this beautiful image.

It is nice to have a reason to take another look though!

@Emma_Hughes
This is the most beautiful paparazzi shot of a stag party I’ve ever seen.

@Emma_Hughes

Oh LA LA - those antlers in the Mists

Love-Er-LEE photo

In the Cotswold area of the UK is

THE FOLLY

ME visited on a trip in 2018.
It has great views from the top.

But in a tree shaded knoll nearby were a small group of deer, resting almost unseen in those deep cool shadows.
🦌

@kahyrn @Emma_Hughes
Aside from the great view from the top which I can almost imagine, I can sense a deep warm peaceful feeling associated with this place. I gotta start making plans to visit😊😌

@mlv69 @Emma_Hughes

Follies are garden buildings & structures designed to enhance & enliven the surrounding landscape. Structures designed purely for decorative beauty, not necessarily for a functional purpose, “follies” -an association to silliness and impracticality.

Lady Coventry wondered whether a beacon on this hill could be seen from her house in Worcester-22 miles (35 km) away- & sponsored the construction to find out. Indeed, the beacon could be seen
clearly.\\https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadway_Tower,_Worcestershire

Thank you very much for the enlightenment ❤🌷

@mlv69

Oh as ME kids would say

ME is just a Fount of Useless Trivia!

Hahahaha!

@kahyrn
I do appreciate the trivia, i needed it. You've successfully kickstarted my plans to visit 🙂😏
@Emma_Hughes That is a superb photo. 👌
@Emma_Hughes Absolutely stunning, never seen anything like this photo.✨
@Emma_Hughes Fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful picture!
@Emma_Hughes I once had the pleasure of riding through a deer park on the way to work. One morning I stopped on hearing a clattering to my side and witnessed two young bucks having a tussle. I stopped (200 or so meters away) and reached for my camera. At this point they both stopped, turned and looked at me as if to ask "do you want some too". I didn't take a shot but got to work extra quickly!
@Emma_Hughes beautiful scene and capture.
Most people walk by in my experience. It takes a trained eye (or som luck) to spot them sometimes, it keeps amazing me how well these big animals can hide themselves.
@Emma_Hughes What an incredibly beautiful shot. And look at all those boys together! I'm assuming they must be quite young, if they're still playing nice. Gorgeous.
@Emma_Hughes beautiful and magical 🤩
@Emma_Hughes Beautiful photo. I've tried a couple of times in Bushy but am yet to take anything as good as this.
@Emma_Hughes absolutely wow. That’s the thing about the Richmond park deer, isn’t it? You never realise how many there are until you’re really close. Fantastic photo, very atmospheric
@Emma_Hughes Wow. What a shot! Thank you for getting it.
@Emma_Hughes I have a usage question, how do you feel about folks downloading this image to use as phone or tablet wallpaper ? Is there a way we could tip ?
@OntologicalQ interesting question, I'm a professional photographer so don't really want people downloading and using without permission I've had a lady contact me about buying a print of it, but I'll have to have a think about this, thank you for bringing it up!
@Emma_Hughes wonderful photograph!
@Emma_Hughes
Puah! Das ist ja eine tolle Aufnahme. Chapeau! 👍👍👏👏👏
